A gorgeous chicken dish with rice and lentils and a lot of tasty extras! This dish is nutritious, tasty, filling and counts as one whole meal in just one pot. Chicken with rice and lentils is very suitable for family meals and those who want a great meal without going crazy!

Ingredients
- 8 - 10 You can also use thighs Chicken Drumsticks
- 1 Onion
- 1 Large Carrot
- 100 grams 1 small pack Tomato Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Sweet Paprika
- Per Taste Salt
- Per Taste Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Baharat
- As Needed water
- 1 1/2 Cups Rice
- 3 Cups Boiling Water
- Frozen - 1 Cup Lentils
- 3 Tablespoons Canola Oil
Instructions
- Clean the chicken from any excess feathers, fat and skin
- Chop the onion
- Peel and then grate the carrot s on a rough grinder
- In a large and flat pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil
- When the oil is hot - fry the onion until it becomes clear
- Add the chicken pieces and fry them on all sides until golden
- Add the grated chicken and spices
- Add the tomato pasta and warm water, until it reaches halfway of the chicken
- Cook for 15 minutes on a medium heat
- Add the lentils
- Cook for another 15 minutes
- Add the rice and sprinkle it all over to the top of the pan
- Add boiling water
- Close the lid and cook for another 18 minutes on a low heat
- Mix well and serve!

Where would we even get “frozen” lentils? Do you mean dried?
