Béchamel sauce is a classic sauce for lasagna, cannelloni, pies and more!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Butter
  • 2 oz Flour
  • 1 Liter Milk
  • Per Taste Salt
  • To taste. It's like black pepper powder - just white. White Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan.
  • Add the flour, stirring until everything becomes constant and thickly unified.
  • When we have a unified mixture, remove it from the heat.
  • In a large, shallow pot - boil the milk.
  • Add the salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  • When the milk boils, add the flour and butter mixture, stirring non-stop (there must be no lumps!) – recommended to use a silicone whisk to stir.
  • Cook for about fifteen minutes, stirring, until the mixture thickens.
  • When the mixture thickens, remove from heat.
  • Finished! Go ahead and enjoy it with homemade lasagna, pasta, pies and anything else really!
