Tartar Sauce with a Kick

Tartar sauce is excellent for use as a dip for vegetables, fish, schnitzel and more. The main use of tartar sauce is an accompaniment to traditional fish and chips. It’s quick to make and very tasty. I used peppers in this sauce in order to give it a bit of a kick! Enjoy!

  • 1 1/2 Cups Mayonaisse
  • 3 Tablespoons Capers
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Chili
  • 1 Teaspoon Chuma pepper


  • Chop the onion and place in a bowl.
  • Drain the capers thoroughly, make sure you get all the juice out of them. Chop (I use a blender) and add to the bowl.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.
  • Its ready, easy as that!
